Stichting Traum-A is an Amsterdam based theatre company that produces the work of performing artists Nadia Tsulukidze and Jochen Stechmann. Nadia and Jochen got to know each other during their trajectory at DasArts, Master for Theatre in Amsterdam and – when recognizing the similarities in htier artistic approach – decided to aim for a longterm colloboration on artistic and productional level.

Nadia Tsulukidze was born in Georgia, after finishing the Music Colleague she was living and studding dance in Germany. Coming back to Georgia in 2004, as a freelance artist she collaborated with visual artists and cofounded a multimedia performance group Khikali Juice. She took part in international projects and exhibitions in Turkey, Armenia, Hungary, Italy, Pollen, Slovenia, France and Germany. In 2010 she finished Master of Theater studies at DasArts with the multimedia documentary theater piece ‘Ready for Love or Seven Fragments of Identity’ and was nominated with this work for the Neu/Now Festival 2011. The same year she worked as an artistic assistance with Edit Kaldor (The Work) and Jochen Stechmann (The Critical Piece)

Jochen Stechmann studied pure mathematics at Hamburg University and contemporary dance at Fontys Dansacademie Tilburg. While still pursuing his career as performer (with TRASH, Nir De Volff, Montajstroj, Blue Elephant, Sanja Mitrovic), he started developing his own choreographic style after graduating in 2010 at DasArts – the Master of Theatre in Amsterdam. He is associated artist of Dansmakers, the production house for dance in Amsterdam.

His works reject an aesthetic approach towards dance and aim for a sober and authentic movement quality as radically personal as possible.  In a postdramatic, yet humerous way, choreography gets often replaced by discourse and is juxtaposed with elements of science, popular culture, live music and an efficient use of animated projections.
